Too funny; Life should be full of more stories like this one.

A governor intervened so this mom could keep her hilarious license plate.

Wendy Auger, a New Hampshire mom of four, is all too familiar with telling her kids to use the bathroom before leaving the house (or the store, or the restaurant, or any other location).

So she put it on a license plate.

Auger has had the plate for 15 years, and said that before now, she's gotten nothing but positive reactions.

Geez....It took NH DMV 15 years to catch up to this license plate? Maybe some DMV employees should be recalled! Good move on the part of the governor.

I remember my folks getting ready for a road trip and after thirty minutes on the highway one or the other of my sisters wanted to go to the restroom. There was never an hour of driving that my siblings or I didn’t have Dad stop the car. It drove him nuts, but we always got to where we were headed – only an hour or so late. lol

You know, every state has standards for vanity plates, right? And they always have. For example, there was a case in the early 1973 in California wherein the DMV was sued by a man for refusing to issue him the vanity plate EZ LAY. He lost his suit, per this state statute:
the department may refuse to issue any combination of letters or numbers, or both, that may carry connotations offensive to good taste and decency
That statute, by the way, was signed in 1970 by Governor Ronald Reagan

Texas denied the vanity plate FKTAXES in 2018. A few years ago Utah denied an application for TIH2TA3 (read it backwards). I guess Texas and Utah are hotbeds of political correctness...

NH is not a politically correct place but probably some government official just got it in their head to ban this license plate. However, common sense prevailed.
