A professional TikToker accused of shooting dead his estranged wife and her male friend in a San Diego high-rise had allegedly bugged his 5-year-old daughter’s iPad to catch them together. Appearing at San Diego Superior Court on Monday, Ali Abulaban, 29, pleaded not guilty to two counts of murder as well as “special circumstances” allegations of multiple killings that could allow prosecutors to demand the death penalty.
It's a great thing, as long as you manage it. Just like with everything else.
That's the key, though. While I agree with your thinking, I'd refrain personally from letting my kid have an iPad at that age unless s/he was a certified genius who needed the machine to perform complex academic work
I'm becoming more and more of a fan of being unplugged, especially at that age. I want my kids to at least know what it's like to experience life outside of all of the fancy gadgets, etc.

But that's me.
Me too! I played with empty boxes when I was a kid. The refrigerator boxes totally stimulated the imagination. We kids turned them into space ships, pirate ships, haunted houses, jails, jungle huts,,, whatever our imaginations dictated. We lived down the street from an appliance shop that tossed away plenty of empty boxes.
No one was able to bug our toys to spy on someone else.
I feel really sorry (and a bit scared) for kids today. We may be turning them into electronic techies, but from whom are they getting their social skills? Maybe mankind's future has no need for social skills?
