There is a Spirit of Darkness hovering over our planet.
The late actor/writer Spaulding Gray (who killed himself at 53) said there's a dark cloud that circles the globe and just lands places- Lebanon, Rwanda, you name it- and then goes elsewhere. As much as I don't believe in god or devil or such, I agree with the above poster.
That is so scary. Unfortunately that type of crime is happening every where.
Not everywhere. In states that have reasonable concealed carry laws, it only happens in the most rundown ghetto parts of town where the police are afraid to go into. Otherwise, the law abiding citizens are able to help police their own communities and keep them safe.
NY, Chicago, Baltimore, etc. do not fall into that list.
Imagine the consequences if you didn't have it to flash at them?
I'm glad you had it... and had the sense to let them know.
I honestly believe I would have been killed in the first incident 2+ years ago.

Lightness and freedom? Florida has one of the highest gun violence rates in the US. They are #3. Florida also has one of the lowest gun ownership rates. They are #39.
