Juries evaluate evidence rather than going off on unsubstantiated flights of fancy.

In this case, it doesn't matter in the eyes of the law what may or may not have happened between the families prior to the incident. It's a pretty cut-and-dried case of simple assault in its own right. I'm sure the woman has her "own side of the story" and all that, but I doubt that whatever it is will make much difference to the court.

There’s no possible side that justifies hitting a kid.

So this is headline news? Notice how the liberal news network wants to make this into a bigger issue than it really is, while there are far worse stories going on that they ignore. I guess those other stories don't fit the narrative.

She hit a child. No matter what else the fact is she hit a child and that is assault.

Maybe not.... but you are not the court.

Never said I was "the court." Just trying to explain to you how the legal system works, but I see it's useless. I actually agree with you that there's likely something more to this. But once she put her hands on that child, she crossed a legal line.

Reynolds Metals called, your next super sized roll of foil, is on it's way. Not everything is a conspiracy. This is one story, hundreds or thousands of other stories appeared that day, but this one is the one someone chose for a forum topic.

The moment she put her hands on him her "side" became completely moot. She doesn't have a story to tell.

Yup, maybe the brats were doorbell ditching yesterday. Not relevant to assault today.
