Your opinion is based on your unproven belief the boy was wanting to go PAST the woman at that point on the sidewalk…

His HOUSE was right where she was standing—
Maybe he just wanted to go home
Maybe he didn’t want to get into the street because he was cautious of cars
Maybe he wanted to know what SHE was doing with two boys

Lot of maybe’s and you nor I know what he was thinking

Actually the woman is blocking HIS way—maybe she should have gone into the street when she saw him coming…

You can’t convict someone of a crime like you want to convict this boy of being aggressive toward the woman based on what he DOESN’T do…

The video shows she was at fault—the police thought she was at fault—
She escalated the situation immediately—
Pay attention to how she moves toward the boy, yells at him—he only curses after she HITS him—

Is it OK to hit bike riders on sidewalks after they have stopped short of you???
What threat is there in a boy holding his bike after he has dismounted???

I imagine if a psychiatrist examines that woman she has a lot of unfounded paranoia and some delusional thinking…

That's not true at all ... but I'm tired of beating this dead horse.
Get out the ropes and hang the wench without a trial. It's what some people in here do best.

Look, all we have here are our words. We are allowed to our opinions here. YOU want to drop out of the conversation, fine, you do that.

No one is talking about hanging anyone, and your hyperbole gets old.

Fine. Put me on Ignore before or after the hanging. It matters not to me.

Bye.

You don't know if something did happen and if it's relevant or not.

I was a kid once too, I have two plus two grand kids. I think there is more going on here then what is in this video snip.

For all we know, they could have been arguing, he went home, grabbed the go pro then came right back, shooting the video we see.

Neither handled it well, they're both to blame for their own actions.

I'm saying I don't think it's as black and white as this video makes it out to be.

Do you have a link that says his house is there because I have not read that. I've read he lives near there.

I never claimed to know what either is thinking, I'm saying we don't know anything except this video snippet. I personally won't assign blame to one or the other, they both acted poorly.

I'm thinking out loud, throwing what ifs here because a lot of people seem like they know what happened when we really do not.

3 - The lady engages in a physical altercation with the child.
4 - They're in a gated neighborhood.
5 - It's not illegal to drive on the sidewalk where they are.

Someone explain to me why anyone is defending this lady? I'm all for forgive and forget, but this lady clearly has an axe to grind...
I'm left-leaning and I think she's totally inappropriate.

In the link provided, it has stated that this lady and the family are neighbors, and they've had interactions before, according to the mom.

Perhaps not right next door...who knows...but certainly seems to be on the same street.

And a good idea if you are a bike rider

My daughter has been using a camera on her bike since she was about 5 years old. We bought her an "Action Cam" which mounts to your bike... not even a GoPro...

This is the much newer version of the same thing:

It is quite normal for kids to do this now. I realize that even 10 years ago this wouldn't have been normal, but almost every American middle-class kid can afford a $35 dollar "sport camera" that mounts to your bike. Most put it on their helmets. It's very common now...
