it would be easy enough to pile on the guy, but... well, what can I say? Some people just need a facial knuckle massage. Not a beatdown necessarily, but enhanced persuasion that manners and decorum are still a thing.

It used to be that there was a risk of losing an ear when in the vicinity of Mike Tyson, but in this post-Will-Smith-slapping world people want to out do that! Come to your senses people, for the sake of all of us!

that guy on the plane was just getting started, plane hadn't even taken off yet. can you imagine having him sitting there the entire flight from california to florida! at least he's got bragging rights now. punched out by mike tyson. the guy threw a water bottle at mike too. not cool. people saw that this guy was drunk before he got on the plane. he shouldn't have been allowed on at all. i don't condone the violence but in this case i can understand the extreme frustration with this drunk guy who wouldn't leave him alone.

on a sort of related note; did ya'll see this? mike's ear shaped cannabis gummies

If it's true the guy threw a water bottle at him, that crosses the line past "he wouldn't leave him alone" -- that's assault and Tyson was perfectly within his rights to respond accordingly.

Even for a crap quality video, you can see Mike was pulling his punches. If he hit him full on, the guys head would've popped off. A fine & anger management classes for Mike, he used restraint which was good for him.

When Mike was still a minor he was already fighting like a grown up champ and was knocking out almost all his opponents, unheard of at that age. At some point the word started to spread and since no teen fighter wants to get a guaranteed concussion opponents forfeited before the fight, Mike would come and stand in the ring by himself. This lasted a while.

Mike Tyson could have kept his cool, and not done anything. That would have been the preferable outcome. I'm not gonna go to bat for the guy that got punched though. He shouldn't have been punched, of course. He probably shouldn't have been harassing a stranger either.

If I sat behind Mike Tyson on a plane, I'm fairly confident that I would get off that plane with my face intact. Why? Because I wouldn't be bothering Mike Tyson. If I did say anything to him, or asked for a selfie, or whatever I might happen to think of, and he told me "Hey, leave me alone," I would take the hint. Not think 'Nice, that's the international code for "Let me hear you rap in my ear!" Time to show off my sick rhymes.' I also wouldn't be giggling to myself while another passenger across the aisle quotes Dave Chappelle and says the -word.' Pretty sure the passenger is drunk too, after watching the video, and I wouldn't be hammered on a flight anyway.

So I guess if I have the opportunity to ever interact with Mike Tyson, I like my changes of not getting punched.

He’s always had a short fuse and he’s always gotten away with his little tantrums. Can’t stand the dude to be honest. He’s so irrelevant anyway. Maybe this is his way of perpetuating his thoroughly tarnished legacy, as expensive as it might be for him.

He's not nearly the hothead he used to be, as you can see from the video wherein he sat there and took it for as long or longer than anyone should reasonably tolerate. And if the witness accounts this cockwagon threw a bottle at him are true, his reaction was perfectly warranted regardless of what he has or hasn't gotten away with in the past.
