There age reversing science today I believe someone on these treatments starting now should live past 120 and be seen as someone 80 years old today. I believe it, we're definitely identifying genes that triggers aging and have some levels of success slowing aging.
One of only three people to live as long as 119, and the second-oldest verified person to ever live (she lived ten days longer than the #3).
The current oldest person (Lucile Brandon, France) is about 13 months behind the recently deceased.
Found an article that mentions the now oldest woman too who is a French Nun who sounds like she is ready to go when her number is called. I'm not surprised she is blind. My son's great grandmother lived to 6 days shy of her 108th birthday. She said a person can live too long a few years after turning 100. She buried her son almost on her 80th birthday, when her daughter passed away it devastated her. They were very close. Gram had also lost most of her vision too. I can't imagine living as long as gram, forget living as long as 115+. No thank you.
Although she didn't quite make it to her goal of 120 years old, Kane Tanaka still lived long enough to become the world's oldest person — a title she held for the past three years, and attributed to family, sleep, hope and faith.
Tanaka died last week at 119...
...Tanaka was born prematurely on Jan. 2, 1903
Earlier this month, Tanaka surpassed Sarah Knauss of the U.S. to become the second-longest lived person in recorded history. Jeanne Louise Calment, a French woman who died in 1997, remains the longest-lived person at 122 years and 164 days.
The oldest currently living person is now said to be Lucile Randon, a 118-year-old French nun. Randon is also the oldest known survivor of COVID-19.
Lucile Randon, who took the name of Sister Andre in 1944, tested positive for coronavirus on 16 January but didn't develop any symptoms.
She told local media she "didn't even realise I had it".
Sister Andre, who is blind and uses a wheelchair, is now looking forward to celebrating her birthday on Thursday...
Sister Andre was born on 11 February 1904. As well as being Europe's oldest person, she is also the second-oldest living person in the world, according to the Gerontology Research Group's (GRG) World Supercentenarian Rankings List.
When asked by French broadcaster BFM if she was scared of having Covid, Sister Andre said: "No, I wasn't scared, because I wasn't scared to die.
"I'm happy to be with you, but I would wish to be somewhere else - to join my big brother, and my grandfather and my grandmother."
Crazy to think that she was already 100 back in 2003. And then went on to live into the 2020s.
She almost missed the downfall of humanity known as social media! Too bad for her.
