Careful with the free speech thing. It doesn't always applies to forums on the internet.

Make sure there is honey for Winnie to find everywhere he goes, so this is not repeated.

See kids, the lack of honey.
You're blaming it on his hypoglycemia? I still say, he should sue for defamation.

Sue first, and sue often.

It isn’t the guns we need to blame for the indiscriminate violence in the society
It's capitalism. Anything that could possibly make a buck is ok as long as it's not illegal. Whether it's morally or ethically defensible, or is just in horribly bad taste, is irrelevant.

I’ll give it a go.
It couldn’t be any worse than that boring ass original could it?
I never understood the attraction.
Is it a British humor thing?

They did turn the banana splits into serial killers.
That was weak.
Maybe they could do this better.

It's for 5 and 6 year-olds, Andy. To them, the stories, the adventures the animals have, and their unique personalities, are interesting. I'm sure, that when you were 5, it didn't take much to entertain you.

The Pooh stories have been translated into dozens of languages. Pooh is very popular in Russia, I happen to know from personal observation, and the stories were translated into Latin. I know a high school in Seattle that used the Latin Pooh book to teach Latin.

Over the years, Milne's books have been translated into many languages, including Latin (Winnie ille Pu is the only book in Latin to have made the New York Times Best Seller List), and since publication, they have never been out of print.
Please to not bash the Bear. Pay no attention to the moderator in the corner, who hates him.

And here's the thing: as a parent, which would you rather your small child's tender sensibilities and growing mind have been exposed to on a regular basis in her most formative years: Bugs Bunny and friends, bashing each other over the head and Coyote blowing people up with Acme Dynamite, or a kinder, gentler animal in the form of a bear?

Is nothing sacred anymore?

What is next? 101 Satanic Dalmations? Dumbozilla? The Bambi Chainsaw Massacre?

Bears are alpha predators. Kids will need to know which animals are dangerous as the nation becomes more rural, and as food shortages push more families into foraging and hunting.

Parents will have to learn to keep a better watch over their small kids, too, if it comes to rural living. No more stories about toddlers or 4-year-olds tottering off just momentarily out of parents' sight, only to disappear forever! Or to turn up days later, covered in brambles, claiming a mysterious animal took care of them.

The only way to get them interested is to portray Winnie the Pooh as a black dude.
California has black bears. So does Canada. Probably other parts of the US do, too.
