I hope the six year old is able to find a good home. I’m sure she’s experienced much trauma in her life as well.
Indeed... This is so sad.

Elijah last name is Vue.
Vue's father has been incarcerated at Oshkosh Correctional Institute since 2023, in an unrelated matter.

I don't know why people like this don't just put their children up for adoption if they don't want to be parents.

More details - newly obtained documents reveal a troubled past for Baur, Vang, and Jimmy Vue, the boy’s biological father.

Also description of picture of beaten Elijah.

They are evil and want to abuse their kids. Child abusers are fueled by harming defenseless children.

The poor little toddler ran out of the abusive house. Timing and weather suggest that he isn't alive anymore. Hope the police will find his little body soon...

I wonder why his grandmother didn't take him to live with her. He wasn't wanted/loved/cared by his parents ...

Parents like this just want whatever government freebies having custody of their kid entitles them to.

Not sure if the grandmother would have been a better option.

Is there any evidence that Elijah ran out of the house?

I think it is more likely that the boyfriend's punishments killed the little guy, I don't think he got out of the apartment on his own.

What could a 3 year old do that would deserve the punishments/beatings he got? His jaw was black and blue, the BF also made him have cold showers IIRC. He was also blind folded.

The articles say police have both of their cell phone data which includes locations. I'll be surprised if the little guy isn't found where their phones were.

I'm also curious why the grandmother didn't have him but I'm pretty sure one of the articles said they had not spoken in a few years, so she probably didn't know what was going on with her daughter and grand kids.

I agree. Most likely all of the above scenario.

Did that woman marry into the Hmong gangs? If so, that was a bad decision.
