At this very early stage, difficult to predict. However, it look like it's Froome's to lose. Quintana will push him pretty far. Hopefully, Contador's body will heal before the mountains. He needs to recapture his moxie. Sagan will take his fifth straight green. Cavendish will leave the Tour early for final preparations for the Olympics. Alaphilippe will take the white jersey easily. No idea who will take the polka dot jersey.
Watching Froome pedal while sitting on the top tube was all I needed to see, he has more desire than Quintana does at this point. Furthermore his Sky team is much stronger than Movistar.
Quintana looks like he doesn't want to attack at all. Cannot win like that - I have no how he TT's but you have to attack. It's great to see others attacking though. The tour is at it's most boring when a strong team sits at the front and controls everything. So these guys putting it out there is good.
I get the feeling Froome won't win. Dunno why, it's a gut feeling watching the attacks and the responses.
Well, now that we are on the first rest day, I totally blew my prediction that Alaphilippe will take the white jersey. He's already a hair over 40 minutes down. And as we now know, Alberto's body couldn't heal before the mountains. Maybe we'll see him back for the Vuelta. The Froome and Sagan prediction still looks okay. But, one never knows. This is the Tour after all.
Froome will win, then later be disqualified for running
