See, that's what happens when you skip a day.
THanks, but I make my own lite version. It's still not on our list, thanks to the glycemic index.
Did my 3 miles w/10 sprints, 30 min. weights. Man, it was a fight this morning to do it all. I didn't feel like it, it was very muggy out and the weights seemed heavier today. If the entire summer's going to be this muggy, Lazy Susan may have her way with me. I know...bee-itch, bee-itch, bee-itch.
Storm and I played hide n seek for the first time today. SHe's really good at it, found me every time.
Doing laundry and ironing today. Ick.
Gotta run, say hello to the OOH crew, put more laundry in, take my shower.
Nothing going on here, yet. I never heard back from anyone at the dentist, but wonder if it's like stepping on professional toes saying it is not reflux when that's what they have been thinking all along? Who knows.
The NP at the ENT put me on mobic last week, said do it 2 times per day for a week [since I have told her I don't like taking meds, and esp. not those NSAIDS]. That stuff doesn't do anything. Nothing good anyway. And, I am supposed to take it w/food, and hmm....when I eat is when I have the problems.
Not that it is my business, but if I were you Connie I would look for a second opinion, I think that the doctor is banking on the easy answer, reflex does not hurt like you are describing.
Sandy, I welcome your opinion. Feel free to share it. I am trying to decide what to do now. The first NP from the reg. dr's gave me 2 ENT referrals, but I'm sort of at a loss. If the dentist wants to look at the CT scan, maybe he'll have an idea, but he thinks I need a CT that goes up higher, which I can't just go in and get, you know!
I don't know what to say Connie besides when I was diagnosed with reflux it was from an upper GI and a scope, that is the only true way to tell if you are suffering from it. Plus I had a gastro. dr. with that treatment. Have you talked to your reg. dr since all of this has come about? Maybe tell him/her that you are not getting any relief from the ENT treatment. Maybe he will order the CT and have someone in radiology read it.
Again, forgive me if I am stepping over a line but I can't even imagine what this is doing to your health, and also what if this ENT is missing something that someone else would find.
I talked to the nurse practitioner at the reg. doctor's after my last bloodwork, because my triglycerides, in my opinion, were pretty high--just below the cutoff. Told her that I wasn't getting any relief and she said well..., she shouldn't say anything...I said WHAT tell me! She said, you could stop taking all that. But, I don't think I can just stop taking the stuff, like cold turkey. She didn't have any other suggestions, though.
