We have all seen how our good thoughts have worked for our exercise crew so lets add even more by having a thread for him !!!

Here's to a successful interviews !!!!

It is a gorgeous morning here in NE FL I didn't get to go wander yesterday because the laundry bug bit me

I even Ironed !!!! rofl even hubby walked by and said "what are you doing"

So I think today is going to be my "wander day"
I am going to wander over to C/D in a bit to let my buddy out then wander over to my friends house to reset his irrigation system so the new landscaping is watered well

Hubby has another "programing class" with his friend today he is coming by around 11 so he suggested we all go to lunch first so more wandering lol this one to my favorite pizza place

Not sure where I am going to wander after that but it will happen

So where will you be wandering today ?

You have lots of time to get here for the bake sale. It starts tomorrow morning at 7.

I have to tell you, I don't think I was meant to make that cheesecake today.

First, I went to get out the ingredients, realized I'd thrown out the sour cream yesterday. However, I found a "substitute" in a cooking ingredients book we have, so I put 2 tsp. of lemon juice in 2/3 cup of whipping cream and let it sit for about 1/2 an hour. It didn't get very thick, but beggars can't be choosers. (Remember, now, I have no car while DH is up north.) So everything is gathered. I measure the graham crackers to make the crust. One of Karla's fairies must have been feeling feisty, because I had 1.5 cups and I needed 2.5 cups. So... now I REALLY need to go to Publix for the goodies. I figure I'll go and weed until I see my neighbor Tom open up his garage, then I'll ask to borrow the car. I just got out there and pulled a few weeds when Lory comes out of her house to let her doggy do her early a.m. business. Go ask her if she has graham cracker crumbs. She didn't, but she let me borrow her car. So I go get the stuff. Get back home, start the cheesecake again. Get the crust in the oven, start to mix up the filling. That's when I realize I didn't put any sugar in the crust! I figure it's only 1/4 cup, they'll never notice. So I leave it. I keep making the filling and, after I get the canned pumpkin in the mixer with the other stuff, I go to put the can in the sink. Karla's Mean Fairy comes back, slaps my hand, the can goes flying into the sink, hits it and there's pumpkin all over the place. Now, I go over to the liquor cabinet, and think about pouring myself a good stiff one before I go outside and find someone to hurt. I don't do either. C'cake is now in the oven, so we'll see how it goes.

PS - Karla, while you're down here for the bake sale, you can do my ironing that I've been putting off!

Morning peeps!

LOL Pattie!

Shadow & I have been for a short walk this morning. Later we will hit the beach.

I have a load of whites in. I hate pairing socks above all other household chores. Ugh! If I can get the blasted mower to start I will cut the grass, I mean, the weeds. It always starts on the first pull for DH but I can never get the @*%^ing thing to start.

Facebook friends, I have found another game that is highly entertaining. You have got to check out Restaurant City.

Hi everyone.

More good luck and vibes to Bob on the interview.

Bake sales are illegal in NM unless a commercial kitchen is used. That came about a couple of years ago. Silly isn't it?

Evey, pin the socks together before washing them. I don't like to pair socks either.

Karla, I was thinking about how long it has been since I've ironed and I don't even remember. LOL

Who is Bob? I will certainly send good CD vibes his way for the interview!

Dare I ask how the cake turned out Pattie?

Well, can someone please tell me where the week went? It certainly shot past me I've been that busy. Since I've been helping out at the greenhouse I feel so much more happier. I think seeing all those pretty flowers puts a smile on my face!

I've been doing more digging in my garden. Hubby decided that we may as well do the other side of the shed too. His decision... my labor! There's something wrong with that equation. Oh well, I'm having fun out there. Waiting on the cable company to get their rude and lazy arses out to mark the cable lines so I can start digging. I'd press ahead but I don't trust that they buried them the correct depth.

Hope everyone is having a wonderful day, and looking forward to the weekend!

Well, that stinks, Sue. Bob is Sandy's husband, btw.

Today I almost didn't work out, just like yesterday, but today was the 'arm workout' plus last night I made a little treat that was a bit on the fattening side, so I had to do it. Plus, who knows if I'll get any time (to myself) to work out this weekend.

Happy Friday everybody. The weather is supposed to suck again this weekend here, so yippee!

Tet, I wish I could tell you how it turned out. It looks good and smells good, but it's rather gauche to cut a piece of cake out of something you're giving to a bake sale, so I don't know! Bummer!

Yeah, I had some trouble with that when I baked stuff for Billly to take in for bake sales in JROTC. Good ol' dad, whoops. Of course, if you cut the stuff into pieces, it's not so noticeable!

Morning all! Can't sleep so I thought I would stop by. Thanks Karla, his second interview with the first company went well and we are in the waiting mode, what will be..........I'm not half as anxious as he is, I kinda like having him home helping with stuff He also had a call from one of his golfing buddies for a round of golf, course he had to say no because it was during his job hunting hours (his rules not mine) well when his buddy found out Bob was unemployed he told him "I know lots of people, get a license to drive truck and I will get you a local job". Course hubby has the application and a phone call out to a school. I don't like that idea of him driving a truck but it would be local so he has to do what he has to do!
Work was crazy today, I did not have time to do anything. We had a building committee meeting with the big wigs in Montgomery today and they are going to begin to work on our broken down building finally. Should start this summer and get this we have to work in the building while they are tearing it down and pulling out that abestos stuff Course I don't have any in my area and it will make this much better for the staff (plus the building will be fixed where it is sinking in the ground). Anyway it sounds like it will be real nice when finished. I just told them to get me a yellow hard hat and I was good to go.
Well best go and play a game in facebook. I'll see about Restaurant City Evey.

Good morning. Can't stay. Headed over to coffee, deliver my cake, then after the social, I'll probably volunteer with the Candlelighters for at least a little while. It goes on all day.

Hugs.
