Good morning! Life has been so crazy lately I almost forgot to post this thread. I haven't weighed myself yet, and I am thinking I might not. I have more pressing priorities right now...
Here's a question: I've been thinking about doing some kind of detox flush/fast/cleanse. I've been kind of puffy lately, so I was thinking maybe a liquid cleanse would help flush out some toxins, some fat, and water retention. Anyone have any experience with a cleanse/fast etc. they can share? I've heard some good things about the Master Cleanse a.k.a the lemonade diet.
I've done quite a few cleanses and they're excellent. Fasts haven't worked well for me as I need the energy, though I've been on veggie juice "fasts" quite a few times. They aren't really fasts as they are high in minerals and enzymes and still have the calories, so you can do them indefinitely.
A few years ago I met a woman who was in great shape in her late 40's, and was surprised she had lost 80 pounds! I asked how and she said walking, plus she takes a cleansing tablet every day. I asked which ones and she said any of them. She goes through one container of them and then goes through a different container the next time. Thus she got a different one every month or two.
Sometimes I use "Ultra Colon Clenz", which is excellent, all herbs, and around $15 for 60 tablets. I have tried different cleansing herbs and like these one the best. They last 30 or 60 days depending on how many you take at one time. One or two of them with a glass of water work well for me. You can get it online and Walmart has it now too.
leavingcali - I gained my four pounds back. Argh. Back at zero. About the cleanse... I'm a fan of taking spirulina and chlorella regularly so that you're constantly keeping things cleansed!
