Good morning! After accomplishing alot of indoor chores this week, I think I may venture outside today to enjoy some of this beautiful Spring weather. Another sunny day in the 70's here. Maybe a little weeding in my future. So, whats on the agenda for you today? Tea with sugar in the raw and soymilk......happy friday! Jeannie

Good morning! I feel so alive today. I don't think there are many emotions I have not experienced in the past 24 hours.

Jeannie, the dreaded call came last night. The baby is having some problems and the doctors have decided to induce labor shortly. I don't know any more than that. I go from fear, to sympathy, to motherly love, to the joy that I will be a grandmother again probably within the next two weeks. Then there comes the feeling of helplessness and then faith that everything has just got to be all right. As far as the medical part is concerned, I am totally confused. I just have to rely on the fact that Raleigh has excellent medical care.

Jeannie, do you realize the importance of the work you do? I know it has to be difficult, but you are helping a life to get started in the best way possible.

I lay in bed this morning planning all the really good comfort food I was going to have. I got up and am having just about the same as normal, but I do think I will have some ice cream after going to the aquatic center and the grocery store. Hope I can find some Cherry Vanilla. That's my favorite.

Coffee and milk (2)
banana
2 strawberry waffles

NCN, I will pray for that baby and for your family that everything will be okay. I can only imagine what you all must be going through right now.

Thank you both for the support, prayers and good wishes. I hope to send you a picture of the baby as soon as I get one. I can do e-mails. I am just not allowed to post on the web. I just got the call last night and it hit me like a ton of bricks this morning. My son was very hopeful and excited even. His attitude was that they are going to get the baby early. I guess my concern is about what is causing all of this. I just think there are some things I don't know about.

When the baby comes and everything is all right, I will be all right too.

I hate to tell you this, but it can be harder being a mother to grown children. Small children have to listen to you sometimes. Grown children do what they please. After all, my son is 36. I remember thinking I was pretty old and grown up when I was that age.

and that is because you are a wonderful mother. It doesn't matter what age our children are, they are always our children and we love them. The relationship seems to change in a way but we still want to nurture them at any age.
