Good morning! Although its really been a rainy week here, we'll be at a high of 63 degrees today. Coming out of work last night with nothing more that a light sweater and speaking to my older boys driving in quite a bit of snow yesterday gave me a strange feeling. I miss them terribly but not that weather. So we have 3 days left to get everything ready for our trip. It will be nice to see all of our family and friends. So what are everyone's holiday plans? Coffee with sugar in the raw and soymilk......happy Saturday! Jeannie
Jeannie, when I saw those horses, I thought you must be on the Outer Banks and they were running in the sand. Then I noticed the snowflakes.
Coffee and milk and may have another one
2 slices whitewheat
container of applesauce
Good morning, Jeannie, Judi, Steve, Diana, Izzy and other food posters.
Lacey, that is not Winter, that is sub Winter. Can I guess nobody is looking at houses today. Stick in there, NC is in your future.
Another cup of coffee.
I have been wondering how much it costs to heat a house as large as yours in these temperatures. We had a really cold month this last electricity bill and our entire electricity bill was $135.
Morning! that's so pretty! horses running in the snow.
Jeannie,it must be a warm for you,be careful though don't catch a cold!
I am starting to cough a little again, I probably should go see a doc today, leaving Tuesday,Yikes!
NCN our house is so well insulated. We have 2200 sqft heated by gas and our budget is $81 a month. Elec. for cooking, dryer, hot water heater, garage runs about $112 a mo. Of course there are 2 TV's usually running plus the computer-LOL.
Lacey, I just noticed a poster from Oriental, NC. We went to the timeshare at New Bern and it is on the same side of the river as Oriental. I had never heard of this place before. We did some driving in the country and it was absolutely beautiful but very rural. Our only problem there is that we could not find a good place to eat. The water there seemed to make everything taste bad. If we ever go back to New Bern, we will take bottled water and our own food. Vacation is not very much fun if you are hungry.
Had vanilla wafers filled with peanut butter along with that second coffee and milk.
Just thought of something. Do you think that bad tasting water is why the druggist invented Pepsi? Necessity is the mother of invention.
places like with lots of snow and cold, the homes must be well insulated. not a lot of homes are that insulated. It gets warm quickly.
Chicken soup
apple turnover.
