Good morning! So, we have 3 more days until Spring and hopefully some warmer, drier weather ahead. I try not to complain though because come Summer here in NC, we may be begging for some rain, right NCN? My kids have been having a great visit with my in-laws and like usual, my kids are getting spoiled. New clothes, IHOP, even a pair of new bikes. It was very generous though because this is actually my son's first bike and my daughter's first new one. They can't wait to ride them. Coffee with sugar in the raw and soymilk......happy Tuesday everyone!
Oops! I need to go put on some green. This rain has everything looking green in our yard.
Jeannie, you can complain about the rain if you want to. After spending most of 63 years in North Carolina, I don't complain about anything but the heat and hurricanes. I am just glad for the rain because I have seen Arizona. I just accept the weather as it comes. I really had never noticed the weather much until you started mentioning it. You will have to agree we get a little of everything here.
Coffee and milk
banana
12 croutons--What can I say? They were there.
You have great in-laws. Let them spoil the children all they want to. At this age spoiling grandchildren is one of our biggest pleasures.
It is also wonderful to look at their little faces and see a little of yourself living on. My mother is no longer with us on earth, but I see her every time I look at my son's oldest. She even has some of her mannerisms. That is a little amazing, since she has never met my mother.
Lazy day today. It seems DS gave his little cold over to me and my mom. We're both sneezing and have a sore throat. So no step aerobic here today At least it was sunny and temps were in the upper 40's so we could at least go to the pond and feed the ducks.
I will go to bed early today and leave the clothes to be ironed tomorrow. There's always a tomorrow for such things.
I had a bad eating day today but will try to make it up tomorrow:
09:15 a.m. 1 slice w/w bread with 1 slice of cheese and some slices of fresh cucumber
10:15 a.m. cup of milk with cinnamon cereal
01:00 p.m. Czech specialty: dumplings with a kind of tomatoe sauce and a half a slice of beef. Actually I prefer the sauce and dumplings without the meat but I had to eat it or throw it away.
01:30 p.m. Greek jogurt with raspberries
06:00 p.m. 1 slice w/w bread, 1 slice of sausage, 2 chicken nuggets, 3 mozzarella sticks
Diana, hope you and your mother get well. Diana, tomorrow is another day for both of us.
Lacey, I think getting weak sometimes is just a part of getting old. I may just be lazy. Rest and enjoy. Let people wait on you for a change. You are the mother of the groom. I don't think I have ever been as tired as the day I was mother of the bride and I had people hired to help with the reception. You could have knocked me over with a feather.
I finally put on a dress to go to the garbage dump and it had green stems for the embroidered flowers.
Just want you to know that for the next few days I am not sure how much I will be able to post. I usually get on here more than I thought I would. So many things to do in the Spring. You would think we were farmers. Our grass is really getting high in the yard and our lawn mower is at the repair shop. Hope he gets it fixed soon.
