Good morning ladies.

Knowing that I won't check in later today I start the food journal. I hope you don't mind, Jeannie.

Today is the big 50th anniversary party so it's all about stress, packing things and getting ready.

I got up at 5:15 to wash my hair and then picked up one of my aunts who went to the hair dresser with me where we got our hair made. Now I'm all curly with a blue flower on my head.

Breakfast: cup of milk with that kind of coffee powder which tastes like Italian ice coffee

And I still have the second cup next to me now.

I wish you all a great and sunny Saturday!

Good morning Diana and bet you look beautiful. Have a wonderful time.

NCN you'll be fine thru the tests. I'm amazed at how good I feel taking no more meds (except allergie, Nexium, vitamins).

Breakfast the usual.
Lunch-thinking avocado/cittage cheese.
Dinner-yeah-cheeseburgers on the grill, mac salad, baked beans.

Thanks, friends. I don't have much wrong with me but old age. Did you know that an area with fewer doctors per 1,000 has people with better health. I read that once and thought it was worth remembering. Our doctors cannot keep us healthy because they don't go home with us. I think being healthy is our responsibility.

We were looking on our family website and realized that my husband's aunt is 94 years old. Wow! I was searching to see the connection of the person we went to see on the parkway Wednesday. He went through three generations with my husband's ancestors and then the line separated. The amazing thing is that the family traits were still there for both of them. This aunt's husband that I mentioned is so much like the hiker's father. We just loved him. Both of them are real characters. The hiker is 57 years old and just completed the Ap Trail--sorry, I can never remember how to spell that word. His father is 82 and had driven himself and his wife up on top of that mountain that gave me a fit and I am only 63. I love to see healthy old people. His aunt was a teacher's aid until a couple of years ago. The children loved her.

Have a good Memorial Day. We have hibernated. I was on highway 74 for a couple of blocks yesterday and it was just too much. People were headed for the race going one way and the beach going the other. We went home.

Coffee and milk and will probably have another
banana
Nature Valley sweet and salty peanut bar

Thanks Diana for starting the thread and have a great time! looking pretty and everything!

NCN,I guess when you live in a less populated area, the air is cleaner, people tend to take better care,no big restaurants, crowds, grow their own veggies. They live happier.
Too much salt and MSG here.

Have a great Memorial Day!

soymilk,wheat toast,boiled egg

Hi all-NCN same here with traffic. We are a huge resort/summer area as we have so many huge lakes. So our pop. doubles in May thru Labor Day. The roads are so busy-good thing there are many ways to get anywhere.

Yesterday the grocery store was nuts and we passed it before and it was the same.

Lunch was scrambled eggs, ham, dry toasted eng muffin.

Bought some summer clothes today!!! Had to get rid of all my old ones-sad cause I just bought them before last summer and they're all Jones NY, Liz, Lands End..

Hi NCN-yes doing my part-LOL. Plus none of my summer clothes fit-but I did put them away cause one never knows does one?

Quiet day here-breakfast same yog/fruit.
Dinner-chicken quesidilla w/refried beans, salsa, sour cream and salad. No more spinach salad for me-baby romaine from now on-loaded with olives, tomatoes, garbanzo beans, onion, mushrooms.

Enjoy all!

Lacey, you lost a lot of weight already!

I need to lose a lot,so I am starting to cut down on sugar stuff, even rice,I don't eat it anymore. Or at least just one or two mouthful. My Chinese friends also try not to eat rice in the restaurant.
