Good morning all. It's a sad day in Minn. and NY/NJ but we get a break from football for awhile.

The house still smells awesome from the jambayla.

NCN hope the night and storm were kind to you. The wind here is pretty rough today. Just to get very cold this week.

Have to pick up the book I ordered today so lunch may be out.

Breakfast-the usual yog/fruit

Dinner-chicken fagioli soup.

Just think Feb will be here soon.

Hi Judi! Have you heard from Jeannie??? I do miss her here.

Not much planned for today. I'll pick up DS in about an hour. He has his second English class today. Let's wait and see how it went and if he behaved lol

Afterwards I'll drop him off at my grandparents b/c I need to get some new contact lenses as my eyes got worse over the last year.

Then some ironing and maybe a cartoon evening with Miguel.

2 slices of white wheat toast (one and a half with cream cheese, the other half with chocolate)
1 apple
small portion of spaghetti with goulash
1 vanilla pudding
2 ginger snaps

Happy Monday. Last week of January already...

Good morning.
House is still here and we went to sleep, so the only thing beyond that I know is that the news is talking about flooding in places. I am just wondering how much rain we got. Gaston County was reporting 2 1/2 inches in a short while last night on the news.

Coffee and milk
strawberry yogurt
banana

We should be leaving right now. See you later after exercises.

Oh, Diana, Jeannie is fine but really busy working and taking care of her family. You know how it is. You disappear sometimes too. We all do from time to time. I know we all miss her.

NCN, thanks for the update about Jeannie, I was already worrying. Since I'm not here from time to time I must have missed that she's so very busy. I hope she can relax very soon.
Stay dry and don't swim away!

Brrr, Judi, this is cold! We've had 20°F again and I forgot my gloves and my scarf this morning. Guess how I was shivering when I got to work...

My colleagues seduced me to eat a wonderful piece of panacotta tarte shortly before leaving the office.

Dinner: just had a bite of DS's w/w bread with a little cream cheese

Off to check some more threads.
Take care.

Sleep well Diana.

Lunch I scrambled 2 eggs and toasted a whole grain eng muffin, smart balance and orange marmalade.

Read an article the other day re homemade soups- by eating a bowl a day you lose weight-of course we're not talking cream soups!!!

Judi, when I was working we had a break room with a microwave and I ate those healthy soups a lot. The reason you lose weight is that the entire can of soup is only about 200 calories. That is a really filling lunch and takes a long time to eat with so few calories. You just gave me an idea for dinner. Mr. VA wants mesquite chicken and I just don't want to eat that much meat right now. It will be chicken noodle for me tonight. And taking a cue from Olive Garden, I may wilt a little lettuce in the soup for a change. Add coffee and milk and that will be dinner.

I ate one serving of potato chips (11 chips) while waiting for lunch to bake.
Sandwich for lunch was 4 oz. Armour treet, 2 slices whitewheat, slices of tomato, lettuce, cucumber and onion. Coffee and milk to drink.

TV snack of one sliced naval orange and coffee and milk

Diana, it is absolutely beautiful outside after the rainy night. I understand we had tornado watches or warnings, but we came through it all right--nothing happened here. Everything looks washed and clean. I love the smell in the air after rain. Some areas were flooded, but some areas always flood in heavy rain. We used to own a house with a yard that turned into a river when a strong rain came. We moved. I warn everybody not to buy in low-lying areas in North Carolina.

I like the chicken noodle soup, but I find it a little boring. I added 12 croutons, 2 T. cheese and lettuce to the hot soup. Yum! Yum!

Then I had 6 mini dill pickles.

Almost time for "Wheel of Fortune." See you tomorrow. It has been a good day.
