Anyone know of some top notch tattoo parlors in Dallas? We've looked around our area of Arlington, and have found one place that we liked (Randy Adams), but want to know of some good ones in Dallas before we completely decide. Thanks! (it'll be our first tats by the way)

Why would you want to get a tattoo? It's out of style. It usually looks trashis and ghetto. It's not cool and definately not professional.

Yea...no one was asking for your opinion on what you thought of tattoo's. Tattoo's are NOT out of style and when done right do not look ghetto and trashy. Keep your opinions to yourself.

On another note....there are several great tattoo artists in Dallas. I would recommend Dillon at Vitality Tattoo in Plano off of Coit and George Bush. Also Oliver at Elm St. Tattoo but no one else in that shop. A friend of mine is going to see a guy down in Oaklawn, if you'd like I can get you his info, but his name escapes me right now.

Appreciate those who helped. Seems like Oliver over at Elm Street is pretty good. I'll request him when we head over there to take a look. And jaime_mac, would appreciate the one in Oak Lawn.

Oliver did some work on me about 14-15 years ago when he was first starting at Pair O Dice (when it was at Elm & Pearl, in an old porno shop next to the police supply.....but I digress). His work is still holding up great on me and I would highly recommend him. haven't seen him in years, but he was a really good guy back then.

I think right now Oliver is a little hard to get ahold of. I know he's been traveling quite a bit, and don't think he is at the shop as often as he use to be. If you do decide to go with him, I'd call the shop to find out when he'll be in before you go up there.

Also I will try to get the guys name in Oaklawn for you. Dillon @ Vitality use to work at Smoothe Groove when that was open in Deep Ellum before Laura Miller went on her rampage trying to level Deep Ellum. Dillon did my sleeve and did an amazing job.

My question to you would be, what style are you looking for, because that will help people suggest what artist to go to.

I'm trying to get the Astros star with the Houston skyline somewhere in or around it (on my upper arm). I've gotten a good suggestion from one artist on what to do with it though. The other two I've seen gave me horrible ideas and their portfolios weren't the styles I wanted. My girl wants to get a bird flying up on her beltline (realistic bird, so whoever is good with those). And a Bible verse on the right side of her back.
