My son is born on Sep,27th. Can he attend Kindergarten this fall?

We just came from CA and knew very little about Dallas.
Does anyone know any good preschools in Plano?

Thanks!

No, he has to be 5 on or before Sept 1. Plano ISD has preschool, too, but you have to pay tuition for it - but then again you are going to have to pay tuition any way. The only way to get into public preschool for free is to not have English, parent in the military, low income, special ed.

Bright Beginnings Preschool, corner of Independence and Park. Great program.

FYI, here in Texas many parents chose to wait a year to send their kids to kindergarten, even if they make the chronological cutoff of Sept 1. So your child will be in good company next year - he will be among the oldest, but not by himself by a longshot....some kids will be turning 6 next summer before kindergarten.
