I am a female in her 20s who will be relocating to Dallas in the next month. Can anyone give an opinion about the safety of living around the Southwestern Medical District? Thanks for your help!

Eek, not a very good neighborhood. But there are some good areas not too far away. What are you looking for?

There are several new developments around the coming DART rail stations..from there you would be very close to Uptown, Victory, Downtown, Oak Lawn/Turtle Creek and the Design District/Market Center.

There are a few nice apartment complexes in the area. It's certainly on the upswing. But it's not there yet. Uptown/Downtown/Victory would be a good place to start. And it's very close to UT Southwestern.

Thanks for your replies. Lakewooder - do you know if Cityville at SWMD (2222 Motor Street) would fall into the area you're talking about?
