some cities considering their future water shortage situations ( like Houston) have also banned installing St Augustine grass which requires much more water than bermuda and some other hybrid varieties--

hello. not sure if this forum is still active. for this year when do you recommend the first fertilizing to be. is it ok to fertilize now? will it help or just be waste of time and money?

Look up Neil Sperry. He is the expert for Texas lawns and gardens. We put a pre-emergent down about a month ago. Once you see weeds, it's too late for the pre-emergent. I think it's a little early for fertilizer.
