With the deck park nearing completion I think uptown has a good shelf life. But since we're talking, why not the bishop arts district....could be, it's already a hip area. Lots of development on the way, hopefully done respectfully to the current environs. Also the area south of the arts district is showing potential if the current ambitious plans come to fruition.

Peavy and Garland Rd is changing...soon.
So I'd keep an eye on neighborhoods - Casa Linda, Casa Linda Forest, Lake Park Estates, Old Lake Highlands, Peninsula, Lochwood.

Are you talking in terms of places to live or nightlife hot spots?

For nightlife, my money's on developing Fitzhugh east of 75.

For real estate, in town neighborhoods of Lochwood, Old Lake Highlands, the Bird Streets, Midway Hollow, and Ridgewood Park will continue on the upswing.

I live not too far from here. What is coming to Peavy and Garland that I should know about?

Actually I was referring to anything in general. Places to live and nightlife! I think Dallas is large enough to have Several Hot Spots!!
Isn't the Bishop Arts District still dry or have they changed that?

Last year's election made the whole city wet, so it should be up to each restaurant/bar to get their licenses to sell.

The Design District is also getting a piece of the pie. There is already development underway.
