Lowes is having a 10% off appliances, ends May 23. Sometimes they have free delivery.

I always check Lowes and Home Depot for scratch and dent sales. Sears has a outlet in Grapevine Mills Mall and a location in Carrollton that has clearance appliances. The Dump can have great prices on furniture but they are very hit and miss. With them timing is everything. Conns has a outlet store in Mesquite but check the new price before buying in the outlet store. Sometimes the savings is virtually nil.

Here is a GREAT site for comparison shopping on appliances: Find national brands, locally - Krillion You will need the specific model # to compare prices. This is especially helpful when stores match their competitiors' deals!

Sears will almost always have a big appliance sale on Memorial Day weekend, and they will price match any competitor's deal. They also have many more high-end appliances than Lowe's. Conn's prices are often the lowest, but their financing has a TON of fees and their old-fashioned payment system is a joke.

I've had good luck getting appliances at the Sears outlet in Carrollton.
