Sears is awful. They don't get any of my money for anything. I was hoping they would get taken out when the market tanked with all the other retailers that went under, but somehow, they're still here.

Can't help you with the carpet but with granite...or other countertop options I would call KAT Fabricators. They do most of the work for Home Depot.
I ended up going with an engineered stone instead of granite for a kitchen. They had a huge amount of a particular color I was looking for leftover from a huge commercial project.
I was very satisfied with the installation. I was able to save quite a bit of $.
