Why doesnt the police raid these raves? This is a drug fest.
Same thing with the Purple Party "Benefit" Party.
Its an excuse for a drug fest.

First off, understand that raves haven't existed in well over 15 years or more. Massive, advertised parties where you pre-purchase tickets to a show in Fair Park of all places, should not be confused with the term "rave". Calling such an event a rave is misleading at best. It's like joining the hippie movement in 1985. Sure, you can dress the part and pretend, but you aren't fooling anybody, especially the true heads. They all know you missed the bus by about 20 years on that one.

Second, this type of party most likely had all of it's permits well in place and cleared ahead of time. It wasn't some random renegade warehouse party where only the promoters know the location until like 1 hour before it starts.

You are right. I dont know the difference between a rave and this party. The only thing I know they are both drug fests. Hence, why doesnt the police raid these "parties that have all the permitts and they know well in advance".
Police can raid homes, offices, gentlemens clubs, etc...all of which can have all their necessary permitts. Many party goers do attend to listen to the music. However, a big number go to indulge.

They had security search these people high and low before entering. With that, I dont see how a raid could be justified nor do I think for a moment that these things should be criminalized.

Maybe we just need to decriminalize all the drugs
