Hello, my husband and I are going to see Les Miserables tonight and wondering what is appropriate attire. We are fairly new in town and have never been to any of the Arts District venues before. Every city is a little different in how they dress to these kind of things... I have seen everything from formal wear to jeans. The Winspear website says wear whatever you want, but I saw some online comments referencing ladies in furs and men in tuxes, so I wasn't sure. My husband will just wear a suit, but do most women wear dresses? Are pants OK? I would normally wear my "little black dress" for such an occasion, but it's COLD!
Thanks!

I think people dress up more for the Winspear, especially during the holidays. I would go with the little black dress! (valet so you don't have to walk far!)

We were planning to go to One Arts Plaza first and walking to the Winspear, so valet isn't an option.

I think you'd be fine in nice pants if you glam them up with a dressy blouse, sparkly jewelry and high heels. I'm sure plenty ladies will be thinking the same as you...that this weather is just NOT little black dress-friendly

Agreed. No woman will look out of place wearing black pants and a nice blouse in this weather. You'll also be fine at Tei An or where ever you'd like to go at Arts Plaza.

Thank you. I've seen it by different productions in the past and loved every one. I've read a few reviews and they seem to agree with your friend so I think I'll drag someone down with me this week.
