Real Dallasites don't "do" chains.

You might have a point if it was a museum or sports venue we are talking about.

I'm talking about Highland Park entering into a league that includes many suburban teams and no showing for games.

If you don't want to drive a long ways for lacrosse games...more power to you...but don't agree to one and not show up.

Around here, people pride themselves on keeping the same phone number. Some are kind of picky even about being in the DA (32) or TA (82) exchange. I know a lot of Lakewood people who have had the same one for decades. Recently a clasmate told me her mother (who grew up on Avalon and then moved to a 'new' house on Ellsworth when she married has had the same number since 1947!

There's just no reason to!
Growing up in HP the only time I ever left "the bubble" was to visit the few relatives who lived just outside of it.

I had a business partner that lived in the M-streets. You should have seen how giddy he was when we got the HP phone book delivered to our office - we worked in Two Turtle Creek. He was having some fun with it just playing the part. He also said he would get nose-bleeds if he went north of NW Highway. I would complain about getting hung up at customs when crossing LBJ. lol
