Ok guys, I've gone to the Dallas threads and didn't find this info there. Here in the midwest, most kids attend preschool, usually part time. Is it the same in Dallas?

Also, here most kindergartens in public school are full-day. Some private kindergartens are 1/2 day. What is the norm in the Dallas area?

TIA

Most preschool aged kids do attend preschool - they are private, though, not public. Hours vary, but something like 9-11 or 9:30-1 is normal.

K is all day. I don't know of any half day K in public schools.

Yes, things are the same here. I don't know any 4 year olds that aren't in some sort of preschool. They are usually between 2.5 - 5 hours a day depending on the school. I believe all the public schools have full day kindergarten. I do know that a couple of private school offer a half day kindergarten option.
