...and as I wandered off into your amazing downtown (full of one way streets, where I almost got hit, lol), I noticed a building I had never seen before. It's a nice tall one with a side mural of an ocean with fish and dolphins on it. I swear, it was so beautiful that I almost felt as if I was underwater. I was very impressed, and had I not been so pressed for time, I would have gotten out of my car and stared up at it, lol.

I'm only somewhat familiar with Dallas, so if someone could please give me the name and location of this building because I plan to go back. I was lost in the CBD trying to find the Neiman Marcus, so I had came across it on accident.

Sounds like the Dallas World Aquarium:
The Dallas World Aquarium
The picture of the building on the website doesn't show the mural, I think it's on a different wall. It's deffinately worth a visit

Really? I'm not sure. Somehow I remember the building being taller and smack dab in the middle of downtown. I don't think that's it.

Is this the mural? It's the Dallas World Aquarium. Maybe it just looked bigger/taller when driving by? Or maybe there's another undersea mural in the downtown area I don't know about

Just now looking it up online, I found out that it is a parking garage for The Metropolis. Some how, pictures don't seem to do it any justice. It looked much more attractive in person.

I believe that mural is across from a parking lot and a street from the Dallas World Aquarium. You can see it from DWA. I have to believe that was the inspiration. It certainly is a gorgeous painting. Much better than plain concrete. Definitely a model for parking structures!

It's the Texas Utilities Bldg and it was painted by the artist known as Wyland.

It's part of a series called Whaling Walls that he's painting all over the world. To date I believe he's done about 95 of them. You can go to the Wyland Foundation website and see others that he's completed.
