RE: a future move to DFW area, kids will be 10 and 8 upon arrival, what kind of computers are the kids using in schools. MacBook, PC, etc. Mine are very familiar with the Ipad (arent all kids) but I wanted to ask if any computers are being used in the classroom setting.

My kids at Coppell ISD are using iPads and MacBooks.

The ones I saw in Richardson and CFB ISDs were Windoze.

My kids elementary school (Dallas ISD) uses Windows PCs, but my kids use MacBooks and iPads at home. At that age, they're able to switch between the two systems pretty effortlessly.

My son is in Dallas ISD and they use desktop and laptop PCs.

Techonology class uses iPads and Macs and then they have Desktop PCs in the regular classroom - my 6 and 8 year old switch seemlessly between the two at home and at school.
