Oh, I didn't know that. So who was ahead of us?

According to the US Census Brueau we have 6.7 million people in the Metroplex.

That's comparing Dallas proper to San Antonio proper. DFW is much larger than merto-SA.

SA Metro only has about 2 million, 65% of which lives in San Antonio proper. It's hard to compare Plano, Frisco, Irving, etc. to Boerne and Schertz. LOL. Enough said.

why do people get stuck on population within city limits in sprawling metro areas. most of the development inside these sprawling cities is suburban anyway. You really need to look at metro population. SA may have a little more people inside it's city limits but by no means does it in anyway feel like a bigger city than Dallas or the Metroplex from a metro area standpoint.

City limit population is what you're thinking of. DFW is far in the lead of Texas' largest metro.
