Here’s the list of the country’s top 10 Muslim capitals:

Detroit
Washington, D.C.
Cedar Rapids, Iowa
Philadelphia
New York
Atlanta
Peoria, Illinois
San Francisco
Houston
Chicago
Categories: Islam
I would look for something more solid than that. The methodology of that list is not sound.

By number of Mosques:

Houston: 42
Dallas: 39

http://faithcommunitiestoday.org/sit...2011%20web.pdf

By number of adherents:

Houston: 157,820
Dallas: 155,172

The Association of Religion Data Archives - U.S. and World Religion Statistics and Data - ARDA

By number of food establishments that offer halal meat:

Dallas: 164
Houston: 147

Again, not a big difference. Its not even worth talking about.

Data is always a good thing. Your initial claim had no data or links so I did a quick search and came up with the data I posted. I havent read the methodologies of the data you provided but agree it isnt a significant difference.

OP welcome to Dallas area! I am newish to the area but know my family and I are very happy living in Plano after decades in another diverse Texas city....Houston. Either is great and will welcome you

And thats my whole point. The Muslim communities in Dallas and Houston are so similar in size that debating them is splitting hairs. A Muslim family could move to either metro area and find anything they could possibly need for the most part.

I saw you said that but prefer data which shows it to a statement you might make. I agree it is close by the links you provided so no argument on this point.

OP ignore our banter we are here to help you not debate points you did not question or raise..

carry on!.

Allen is very prized by the higher middle class Muslim community , Richardson has a lot of diversed mosques , Plano and the south of Frisco are home to a large Muslim community , especially from Jordany . Halal stores are all over the north suburbs , the choice is yours , you wil be welcomed in any city!

Actually Houston is hands down the best city of Texas...

Mosques-
Dallas: 58
Houston: 70

Adherents-

This is subjective.

Halal restaurants-
Dallas: 164
Houston: 220

Also, Houston is in the top ten capitals for a reason, whereas Dallas is 22. Houston is definitely the place to live if your a Muslim in Texas.

Dallas is also very spread out and does not have the vibe like Houston does. Perhaps Dallas can learn a thing or two from Houston

Thanks a lot that was an insight, I checked one of the Schools in Richardson the tuitions is around 700/month/child ,housing around 1500/month then the total is 5400 is sounds a lot!
I am living in Dubai so heat is not a big deal what is the max temperature? but what is surprising me that i dont spent that much here in Dubai. I thought Texas is cheaper.
what do you think.

1) It really depends. There is one available for rent in my neighborhood for about $1600 per month. The rentals really depend on the area and can start at about $1100 depending on the area. By the Muslim communities, youre really looking at the areas ranging from half a mile east to about 1.5 miles west of 75 in the cities of Richardson, Plano, and Allen. I would add Allen to areas to consider because the schools are great and the Muslim concentration is large.

2) If you cook in every night and dont drive much, maybe $2500.

3) Furqaan Academy Collin County | Islamic School for Plano, Allen, Dallas, Eastern Plano, Richardson, North Dallas

Home | Islamic School of Irving

Brighter Horizons Academy

Islamic Academy for Islamic knowledge. Learn Now in English-Urdu

Islamic Association of Collin County

Peace Academy Magnet School

https://plus.google.com/106462229352...ut?gl=us&hl=en

Maybe one of those will work?

4) In this area, Muslims are so common and prevalent that I dont think you would encounter any issues whatsoever. Im not saying we dont have some morons running around, but those will be the exception not the rule.

5) It does get cold between the end of November and Mid-February, but compared to other American cities, the winters are extremely mild. Spring is our rainy season and it will rain a couple of times a week. Our summers are very hot.

Hope that helps!

In general the cost of living is a little higher in the northern sections of Dallas.

Sorry I don't know about the schools.

Dude, take it to another thread. This is not a Dallas vs. Houston thread. There are plenty of the out there for you to give your opinion.

If the OP were interested in Houston, he would have said so. Further, if the OP was looking for the best Muslim city in America, he would be asking about Detroit.
