We've been high and low looking for a notary that can verify Japanese documents in Japanese. All we need is a document that states my wife lives in the US.

If anyone has any information or leads it would be very helpful. We've looked all over the web but can't find anyone. HELP!!!

This may help.

Consulate General of Japan in Dallas, the United States

They should have someone qualified as a notary, or can probably put you in touch with one.

The consulate would be my first stop too. However, there is also this translation service that has notaries. They're in Dallas on Henderson

Unfortunately, the Consulate is a bit of a joke. They only deal with missing passports and minor things. They don't really do anything of importance. They suggest going to Houston. They don't even have information on Japanese businesses! Well, at least they couldn't even suggest a Japanese notary.

Naima,

Thank you for the link. I called them and they confirmed that they could do the translation and notarize a Japanese document. I'll follow up if that is the way we have to go. You may have just saved us a needless trip to Houston just to prove my wife is living in the US.
