Just read that Plano topped list of 100 most liveable cities (population above 200k) in USA. Murphy is runner up in top 10 places to live in Texas. It looks like Collin County is the place to be.

North Texas is lame. Ostentatious atmosphere, subpar food, nothing exciting to do except go to the bars and married people don't need to be doing that, and terrible sports teams.

My grandmother told me that only boring people get bored.

I'm really curious as to why married people don't need to be going to bars. Really, I am. My husband and I sometimes go to bars for a few drinks. Sometimes we go to bars with friends. Sometimes we even take our kids with us to the local sports bar or Irish pub.

I don't usually think of going to the bars as exciting though. Too many other activities are more exciting than that.

Just got back from FC Dallas MLS game. $300 for season tickets right by the South Goal. Got to see three goals 50 feet from my seat.

Dude, you live in Tuscon. In Hopi that means brain-dead-and-lovin-it.

Collin County provides great value for every budget. Plano is real estate of choice for me to live, own, rent out, sell. Its a great place to raise children and enjoy a consistently stable real estate market. Every year one or two families I'm connected to in some way move here to enjoy a comfortable and affordable lifestyle. Often older couples move to Plano after retirement to find affordable luxury homes and to have every thing they need in (practically)their backyard.

Frisco, Allen, Prosper, Mckinney, Murphy, Parker are other popular towns in our county. We offer something for almost every budget with in $100k - 10million. That's pretty awesome.

Unfortunately, it won't let me rep you on this. I tried though.

I'll refrain from commenting on U of A or Tucson. I must say though, I have been wondering over the last several days: does that poster really think that him having the time to troll other forums on places that he's never been (now using not one, but two screenames) helps to convince others that his fair city is a cornucopia of entertainment options and interesting things to do? Just a question...

I hear California is needing some new residents. Perhaps you can fill one of those spots, not much required of them. Need to focus on looks and scenery, no job so you have a lot of time to enjoy the great weather. Remember pot is legal some cool places so give them a try in Ca.

What's all the bashing on CA? CA is not even that bad! Yes CA is expensive but houses are cheaper inland. I love DFW area but you cannot compare the area to San Diego or SoCal, SoCal is just more fun and love the diversity. Are people moving from CA? YES BUT don't let the news fool you, still more people moving there then out.

Plus most people moving to CA, aren't even from CA. CA has many TX residents. I love both states and drawback about TX is the high property tax which can kill a family making under 50k. North TX is okay, nice for families but kind of boring and spread out.
