We went to see a home there on Adair and what a stupid place to build such expensive homes. A huge water tower & main power lines looming over the community. I can see that its located near highways and steller schools but still, I would rather take an older house in nearby communities than live there. Obviously it doesn't bother other people as its almost 90% built out. To each its own.

Lol! Those people want uninterrupted supply of water and power. Actually this location can give really convenient access to tollways and Plano West schools can sell odd properties.

I would need to get paid to live under that water tower..
You can get the same Plano west schools for less and without the tower. And maybe with a more reasonable lot/house size ratio.

You can get bigger lot, better house, same location, mature trees and same schools but their target buyers are people who MUST have brand new house, even if that means living under the tower & power. It's a psychological thing.

This is an expensive subdivision. Asian/South Asians historically stayed in Russell Creek area near Rice/Jasper but apparently wealthy ones are now moving towards West side. I looked at CAD and majority of Avignon owners have South Asian names.

Interesting.. Thanks for the info. Fwiw, in south frisco a majority of what we saw was a majority south Asian/ asian as well. There were quite a few that were building... I think in lawler park and richwoods. The little pocket seems quite hot as well.

Those are nice subdivisions as well and you get more bang for the buck as they can't compete with WP's location & schools. Similar home would be even pricier in HP & UP.

Hmmm true...I am glad we rented first on frisco/Plano border for a year....gives us a birds eye view of what's what and who's who. Keep the info coming... We are looking to buy next August! Will have to compare richwoods and Avignon in person now. Also thanks for the previous info on the lennar homes.

Current build times for new homes are 10 months to a year so if you want to move in next summer you should be contracting right now.
