We are planning to move in August. We would like to buy a house around Richwoods. I want to rent first to get an idea of the area. I have three children (1 in middle school, 2 in elementary). I would like to keep them in same schools especially middle.
Does anyone know an area around richwoods where I can look for an apt or house for rent/lease? Thanks.

I can't guarantee that the schools Richwoods (and surrounding neighborhoods) are zoned to won't change, but for now do a search on Realtor.com with Curtsinger as the elementary (there is another one opening next year), Vandeventer middle, and Independence for the high school.

Or you can go here and select the school you are interested in, so Vendeventer if middle is important to you. Frisco ISD Attendance Zones. It will show you the boundaries for the school.

Most of Richwoods is no longer zoned to Curtsinger. As of Fall 2014, their kids go to the new elementary school that is opening just north of them in Lawler Park. But I second what stephwin above said...search for rental homes that have the same schools as Richwoods. I believe the Ebby website let's you search for homes using these parameters.

McSpedden elementary (within Lawler Park community) is opening this August. Vandeventer is the middle and Independence will be the high (also opening this August). It will be a very competitive set so that is why second picking up the rental in Richwoods, Lawler Park or Liberty Crossing (94 home sites starting construction) will be good. I will caution you though that 4th and 5th grade may be have significantly less students (a better student:teacher ration is a boon in a some cases) in the initial few years because it seems that area has many kids starting elementary or starting middle.
