+1 for Smith Thompson. Very attentive and will respond for any alerts. Had Brinks (now ADT) and the one time something happened, they weren't proactive in handling the issue and thank God nothing bad happened. Just that one incident left a sour taste in my mouth and lost trust in their service.

We've had a very pleasant experience with Vivint over the past 4 years, but I doubt they will be any less expensive.

DFW Alarm is great. They sold out to ASG security a few months ago. I love them and I pay $18 per quarter. Yep you read that right. I had a horrible experience with Smith Thompson their CSR's are so rude!

+1 Smith Thompson.

$16.95 per month, no landline needed, no contracts, pay only for 11 months if you payup for the entire year up-front....might have to pay some initial fee to install some equipment (I paid $129 i think) if the one you have is not compatible with their system....great service....don't forget to get the alarm permit from the city....

And one more for Smith Thompson!
Their service is impeccable . They do work and accomodate older system. And compare to other companies , they call as soon as the alarm goes on.

Smith Thompson+1 like everyone else. If you have an angieslist account, they will give you three free months if you write them a review. I think I got four free months total since I mentioned I saw them on angieslist as well.

AT&T Digital Life is what we use. It's like nothing else out there.

You can set up profiles for your neighbors or hired help to enter your home at certain times (to feed cat/water plants/drop off mail/etc) when you are gone, and these profiles won't let these other people in normally. You can get door locks that unlock when you disarm the system. Online monitoring from your phone or tablet. If you forgot to set the system some morning, you can set it from your phone at work.

The interface is really intuitive, and you can set alerts for when certain things happen (door or window opens, etc). These are different than the intruder alerts where someone will call you.

Not sure how much it is, but it can't be more than what we spent for ADT.
