Too bad the Nebraska Furniture Mart in the Colony isn't opening until Spring 2015. That might be a good option for your price range.

ya, too bad that Nebraska FM is not going to open until early next year. I can't wait that long to buy new sets. I may still have 2 more bed rooms to build which I can wait until early next year.

I checked Haverty's in Frisco (one on Gaylord) and they are going under remodeling process, so had a very limited stuff to see and they looked well above my price range.

Go to Farmer's Branch at 635 and Midway. Several stores of various quality and price.

I would say try out at 635 and midway area. That area is furniture central. Also, check out Stacy's in grapevine. It is a huge store with several different price points.

Weirs has an outlet on Spring Valley in Farmer's Branch. The prices seem just as good as Ashley or RTG to me. Although remember, you get what you pay for. Having said that, Weirs stuff seems a little nicer than Ashley or RTG to me.

Costco has some good furniture online...I agree you won't be able to sit and check it out before buying, but with their generous return policy, you have nothing to loose. If you order online and have to return it, they will come pickup the furniture and refund the entire amount (including S/H)....They sell top grain leather unlike most of the local warehouses whose furniture is bonded.....Like other user said, you get what you pay for....

On a side note, I wonder what will happen to all these local furniture shops when NFM opens next year...That's a giant by itself with quality furniture at excellent pricing.....

I definitely like Costco but never purchased furniture items. I will definitely check their online options. thanks!

IMO, NFM is going to impact Ikea's business by most and then other furniture stores as well.

Yes. They will pick up the furniture (for a fee I think) and it has to be boxed the same way it came. To me it is a big pain if I end up not liking the furniture.

In Arlington/Grand Prairie there's CB Furniture. They might be a more casual and contemporary for your taste though if you liked the Northshore but I think they do carry ashley. cbfurn.com

Nope...They have white glove delivery included in the price, which means all the packaging materials are removed and taken by the delivery guys and if you have to return, they will pick up the items as is. You don't need to pack anything and you get a full refund, no fees or deductions....
