Are there any good restaurants within walking distance of the Dallas World Aquarium (off Griffin)? I know the West End is close by, but I haven't been there in a really long time and I don't know what restaurants are nearby. This will be for lunch on a weekday and I will have my 1 year old with me, so it needs to be kid-friendly.

Thanks!

Eat inside the aquarium. They have a sit-down cafe and some type of snack bar. We, grandkids and ne, always eat at the cafe. You would not be out of place! Good food but a touch pricy for what you get. However, the convenience can't be beat!

Agreed. The area is not great (not bad, but just not great).

Alternatively, go, and then go hit Klyde Warren Park. 3 minute drive.

TGIF and Spaghetti warehouse are about 1/2 mile from the Aquarium. Definitely kid friendly and not a bad walk.

If you don't see any reason to eat at the Dallas World Aquarium Cafe, try the short walk to West End (0.2mi).

West End has several dining options for you an your one-year old, most notably Corner Bakery Cafe, Sonny Bryan's BBQ, or Chipotle.

The Renaissance Tower also has several dining options such as Chic-fil-A, Dickey's BBQ, Potbelly, and Paradise Bakery & Cafe. I'm not sure if these are open to the public.

Carrying a 1 y/o is not easy - too small to walk any of those distances. Eat at the aquarium.

One thing to mention- that place is not overly friendly for strollers-especially if busy. People bring them, but they are not that easy to move around.

We were planning on bringing a stroller because she can't walk and it isn't fun to hold a 22+ pound kid after about 10 minutes. I'm hoping it won't be too busy since it is a weekday and we'll be going before lunch. But I'll keep that in mind.

Ellen's looks like a good choice, but we might just eat there too.

Thanks

You should be perfectly fine on a weekday before lunch with a stroller. Weekends are a different matter.
