My wife and I, along with our 2 year old daughter, just recently moved to the Dallas area. I'm working in the Addison area and the inlaws live in Frisco. We're new to the area (as are the inlaws) so don't know much outside of the Frisco area (which we enjoy). I'm 30 and my wife is 28. She stays at home with our daughter and looking for a nice environment, single family home to the tune of 200k. Being a single income family, we really don't want to break the budget.

I know most people come on here with 400k+ budgets, so was hoping you all could provide some great locations on which to search. I'm looking for specific neighborhoods, as just saying Allen won't help me much =). We're very familiar with the Frisco area, as mentioned, but would like to broaden our scope.

We have looked pretty far north at the Savannah type neighborhoods and that didn't suit the wife's tastes.

Thanks so much for the help in advanced!
Aaron

You should consider Carrollton, Plano, The Colony (the legents specifically). Where about Frisco do they live? Are you wanting to be within a short commute to both work and in-laws?

They currently live right at Hillcrest and Lebanon in the Smith elementary area. We really like the area and the school district. Just having a hard time matching our needs (maybe we are too picky) for the price.

Distance isn't too big of an issue. We want the best school district and best house we can get =)
