Come On!

Bring the umbrellas and raincoat, we are getting some rain. We (the lakes) SO NEED IT!

If ya get lost, just ask and we'll try to help ya'll.

Oh, if you do make it over to this side of the world, right now they are filming some of the Fox show "Prison Break" in the downtown Garland area today and I believe all week. Most of the show has been filmed in the Dallas area (Rockwall & Decatur and now Garland).

Default Question for momo2dfw about dallas suburbs

I have a specific question for mom2dfw... I too, am a mom of two whom along with my husband are moving to Dallas. I have read all you have to say about the area and thankyou, but so far it has been specific to the east side of Dallas (Garland, Rockwell,e.t.c) Are these simple the best areas in all the Dallas area or are they some comparable good areas on the west side? Where we are moving from in Ohio there are many ok suburbs and then there are two that stand above the rest in schools and crime rate and shopping convienance and good parks e.t.c. One is old money and old houses and one is new money with newer than 10 years housing. I prefer the newer areas that have new malls and shopping centers, newer parks, but still with the best schools and far from crime areas.. I think my husband might be working on the west side of Dallas or wherever TXU's headquarters are so don't want to far of a commute...what are your thoughts here. I have lived here for a long time and feel like I could give great advice on where to live in Columbus, and feel lost about Dallas!!! HELP
