Hello Everyone,

I am currently with Gexa and i am planning to move on to some other plan for a cheaper rate. Can anyone tell me how to make the switch. I am not able to find any information on how to cancel my plan. Or is it that if i apply for the new plan, the old plan will automatically be cancelled?

just find another provider/plan that you like, and they'll ask you to put down an approximate transfer date during the sign-on process.

the new electric provider takes care of all the actual switching behind the scenes. nothing for you to do except look for the new bill from your new provider.

are you still under contract w/ Gexa? if so, there might be an early termination fee.

Enroll with your new company, they'll handle it from there. If you're under contract currently I believe there's a period of 14 days prior to the contract end date where you can switch with no penalty.

Thank you! My contract was expiring on 18th. So switched to StartTrek for cheaper cost through the winter!
