I am moving to Little Elm in 2 weeks.... I was googling and I found an article on a dead 10 ft alligator tied up to a tree in Little Elm.

Its extremely rare to see a gator in the Dallas area. The odds of you seeing one is about the same as being hit by lightning. It usually makes the news when a gator shows up.

I've never seen one up here, we boat a lot too and lived here (except for 13 months) since 1997.

yeah, unless you go looking for them you'll probably never see one, and even then they can still be hard to find, the Joppa preserve in Dallas and parts of Southern Dallas County, do have some alligators though.

In all seriousness, Alligators are rare in Dallas as mentioned above. All you're going to find is a different Story on the same 10ft Gator found dead 5-6 years ago. This is absolutely the last thing that a person should worry about moving to Dallas.

i kayak and boat on all the DFW lakes and ever other rivers in texas in the hill country and I have never seen one. Now when lived in Florida I saw them all the time.

Besides a few Alligators are not going to hurt anything. We had plenty in Louisiana and other than the occasional annoyance of one in your pool or on the drilling rig, it was no big deal
