Yes, 185 million is a large number. But it's still less than 15% of India's population. Assuming, people of all the religions immigrate proportionally from India to the US, more than 80% of those would be Hindus. But in reality, this number is likely to be higher.

Technically speaking, a larger nation was partitioned into two (or three, depending on the way you see Bangladesh): Pakistan and India. So it's not accurate to say Pakistan was a part of India. And yes, it was one of the largest mass migration in the history of humanity. Around ~18-20% of the population of Pakistan were migrants from India once the dust settled after the partition.

There are so many vastu rules people follow and some of them they are ignoring as it is not feasible to build a house with all the requirements in USA.

eg:

If your house is facing North.

1. NE corner should be for god. People try to get a office room there so that they can use it as pooja room at the corner
2. NE corner shouldn't be cut, be it lot or house.
3. No road should come facing your house, or doesn't hit SE, NW or SW of your house.
4. SW corner should be a master bed room.
5. SE is your kitchen
6. No well or swimming pool in South side. Usually they feel it will be lucky if they have water on NE corner of the house.
7. No opening to the house in SW block.
8. SW can't be extended, be it lot or house.

Some times they can ignore the 5th point, but make sure kitchen is not coming on NE corner and it can come on NW(which is not that bad).

For the plan that satisfies the above requirements, if they tilt/flip it for East facing, it can still work for them. That is the reason they go for either North or East facing. Builders are taking advantage of this and putting lot premiums on N and E facing lots
Very interesting.
I love learning about these things.
Thanks.

It's not ignorant in the least. There are more than 100 million Muslims in India, and it's entirely possible that a few dozen of them could have moved to the same street in DFW somewhere.

They're around. If I turn my head to the left, I can see two of them right now.

Is it possible? Yes.
Is it possible because muslims pray in the direction of Mecca? No.

The context of the thread is about certain group of people preferring to buy houses facing certain directions. In that context, it was very ignorant.

You are right. I checked with a Muslim friend and he said that one can always turn towards Mecca to pray, there is no need to built a home facing Mecca, not even for tiresome nit picking conservatives.

I never said that.

Your reading comprehension is utterly lacking. You read something and didn't understand what you were reading, and then insulted me. Then you proceeded to derail the thread trying to disprove a point no one made.

Step away from the keyboard, you're not ready for online discussions.

Sitting in North America, Mecca would be east (South East maybe) of NA. That's simple geography

Not in the least. The hypothesis that it could have something to do with the position of Mecca was perfectly reasonable, and you don't seem to have any argument to the contrary.
