Hi,

I would like some reviews/thoughts on the viridian community. Is it recommended?
elementary school is good, but I heard middle school and high school are not. Considering its location, close to the landfill, will the resale value be a concern? Is it really a desireable community?
Also, between viridian and dallas, what would be a better investment, for a lower cost property..say, 250k

Thank you

The Viridan Sailing Center opened in the past few months. It may be near a dump, but seems like a really nice master planned community and boon for Arlington & Grand Prarie if it can overcome that fact. Also the engineering to hide the landfill is pretty interesting.

Nice community in my thoughts good schools all the way through.....you kind of have to think...even though there can be some dilution....if the kids are good in elementary....what changes for them in middle and high school? I like HEB has IB program and different languages than standard.
Nice location.
Negatives are that it was all swampland before the development....often underwater. Of course they say it is all fixed and drained, but only time will tell if they did it right...or if the whole place will have issues.
I have driven down 157/Industrial 100s of times and smelled the landfill. Not sure I would want to live next to it.
You should also hear aircraft noise as it is almost directly in the flight path.

Like every neighborhood there are pos and negs....only here the negs are a lot stronger to me.
