How much to expect to install a chandelier on the foyer with 15+ feet ceiling?

It is subjective. Depends upon whether there is only one (otherwise you get economies of scale) and how big of chandelier it is/how complicated is it to assemble. If one person can do it - probably 100$-200$ otherwise 200$-400$.

It cost us ~$700 to hang ours on a 20ft ceiling. It required two men, scaffolding, and they unpacked and unwrapped the chandelier, which in itself took a long time because of all the crystal strands.

One thing that makes a big difference in cost is whether the ceiling has a metal electrical box already installed to hang a chandelier. If not, one will need to be installed first, that would have been an additional $150 for us, but we had a metal box already so it could support the weight of the new chandelier.

It'll be a lot cheaper if you put the fixture together yourself first.

Hanging ours is always free; my husband does it. But we don't have a ladder that'll reach a 15 foot ceiling.

Yeah, it really depends on a lot of factors. Assembly of fixture. Whether your current box can support the weight. If it can be reached with a ladder (versus scaffolding). etc

$200-1000 could be your range given what we know.

I just had one done for $100....I was not impressed with the way they did it.
I thought any second my insurance bill would go up $1000 year and I would be cleaning body off the floor.
Probably would have been better to pay $200.
Kind of depends on what you have and what they have to do to install.
Are you in new or old neighborhood.
If you are in a new where they are building you might be able to grab some guys to do it between jobs or after work.
