Help please. Are there any parents with kids in named schools. I can't find much information about them. Please share your thoughts about pros and cons in the thread or PM me.

It's been a few years but both my girls went to St James Montessori. We loved that school and we still go back for their reunion events. My girls are in 4th and 6th grade now and are currently in DISD Dealey Montessori school and thriving.
I'd recommend it to anyone!

St James seems lovely, but the commute from our home was too far. The other reason we didn't really seriously consider it is that it only goes through primary, so we'd be stuck figuring out your next step fairly quickly (that is, unless you plan to do public, which we don't). We have friends with kids at Dealey who love it, but it's near impossible to get in these days without an older sibling there (which is true of all the magnets). I've talked with parents who went through the magnet process even 6-7 years ago and they don't understand how many more kids are fighting for the same number of slots.

I have a 2.5 year old who goes to St James. We really like it and plan on sending my daughter when she is old enough as well. It's about 15 minutes from our house, which is annoying but the reason we chose it was bc they have a MDO program. Most other Montessori schools require the kids to go 5 days a week and I didn't feel ready for him to go 5 days at 2. He currently goes 2 days but will go 5 days next year when he transitions to primary.
