The comments from the current resident are a prime example of why Plano receives so much hate. "Do not get left behind"....who says that about their city?

I was interested to see that Plano is "defiantly not boring". Tell me again about those great schools?

Maybe they mean someone is trying to make Plano boring but they are fighting it?

3 murders in 3 weeks (ok 2.5 since one was somebody getting crushed by a speeder in a mall parking lot)! - others are also trying to make Plano not boring.

Ugh...what I was just complaining about on another thread...

The arrogance of Plano that says kids in Plano schools are precious and will achieve anything. God forbid you put your kids into RICHARDSON or CARROLLTON or any other district - your kids will obviously end up selling their bodies on Harry Hines to get their next hit of meth. You as a parent should definitely be charged with abuse...

Okay, rant over...

"O, beware, my lord, of jealousy;
It is the green-ey'd monster."

Why is it that, whenever A calls out B for B's pretentiousness and overweening pride, B and B's supporters immediately accuse A of having no other motivation than jealousy?

Because they want to? Why do people ask rhetorical questions rather than just giving their own answer?

If people who knock Plano were actually just jealous of Plano, why wouldn't those people simply move to Plano?

Read the comments from the current residents for other cities on your link, and then read the comments from the Plano current resident. Most of the comments from the residents of other cities are simply discussing the positive aspects of their locale. The Plano resident, however, is much more concerned with the idea that Plano is better than surrounding locales. The final suggestion to "not get left behind," presumably by moving to Plano, is both confusing and extremely pretentious. I've met a lot of people who love their towns, and there is nothing wrong with that. However, Plano seems to just attract a disproportionate number of materialistic, pretentious a**holes who can't fathom why anyone would want to live anywhere else, and they are convinced that living somewhere else will leave those people on the outside looking in of some great, enviable success.

Anyone who has watched the show Weeds and is familiar with Plano almost certainly has thought that Plano resembles Agrestic.
