I was driving on Alma in Allen and I saw lots of people working at the NE intersection of bethany and alma, it seems like developers are still developing lots.

Do anyone of you know details about price point, builder, number of lots etc.?

Yes, there's a community that will be built on the NE corner with 78 single family homes. Sucks for the folks on that side of Watters Crossing whose yards will back to the new homes!

How's the traffic situation there? I have a colleague who lives nearby in Saddleridge Estates, he almost always leaves early and keeps cursing his horrible location. I never go that far on weekdays so can't say if it's a real issue or a creative excuse.

Saddle ridge is a very popular neighborhood off Stacy. It is further north than the new neighborhood the original poster asked about.

Alma & Bethany should be a very desirable location in SW Allen, especially for new construction. Easy access to 75 and Watters Creek. Very popular area.

The new neighborhood is called Connemara Crossing.

How's traffic and commute situation? Is it as horrible during rush hour and on weekends as he states?

I drive through Bethany at Alma probably 3 times a week. Traffic is never bad. This is usually between 830-3 weekday.

Traffic is bad at the Stacy exit on weekends (people turning to go to the outlet mall) but other than that, it's fine. You have to adjust expectations a bit too, because they are still in process of widening 75 through Allen. But generally, compared to 10 years ago and since they widened through McKinney and completed the connection to the SRT, traffic is much smoother.
